1. Steps to configure settings


The following steps are to be followed to configure the settings in programme management. These settings are mandatory if an HEI wishes to make its merit-based admissions live.


Step 1

Open the Samarth University Production link.


Step 2

Login to Samarth by using the provided username and password.



Step 3

After Login,  click on Settings of the programme management module in the left side panel.




Step 4

Click on the Add New Programmes button to add all the programmes one by one according to the need.



Step 5

Fill the relevant details related to the programme.



Step 6

After filling the details related to the program. Click on Save Button.


Step 7

After saving the programme click on the Settings button in the upper right corner or can click on the cog button present against each programme










Step 8

Again go to Programme Setting by clicking on Settings as shown in the picture below.



Step 9

After reaching Programme Settings, go to Admission Type by clicking on the Setting icon(cog button) against it.



Step 10

Now click on the Add Admission Type button.



Step 11

After the selection of type from the dropdown and selecting year of admission click on the Add button.



Step 12

 Now again go to the Programme settings.



Step 13

Go to Essential Qualification to add the essential qualifications needed to take admission for the programme.



Step 14

To add Essential qualifications click on the Add qualification button which is in the upper right corner.








Step 15

In Settings, go to Change Programme Status by clicking on the setting icon against it.



Step 16

Put status Active from the drop-down and click on the Save button to save it.



Note

Repeat steps 8 to 16 for every added programme.



Step 17

Now, go to main settings by clicking on Settings in the left side panel as shown in the image below.


Step 18

In (main) Settings just go to Admission Settings.


Step 19

In Admission Settings, go to the hostel option in which programmes are selected in which hostel accommodation options will be provided by the University. Select the checkboxes and click on the Bulk Assign button in the upper right corner as shown in the image below.


Step 20

After selecting "Yes" or "No" from the drop-down menu in the Hostel Required field click on the Apply button. (Yes: Hostel facilities can be provided in selected programmes. No: Hostel facility can't be provided in selected programmes).



Step 21

Now go to Admission Settings again and select the Registration/Recurring Fee as shown in the image below.


Step 22

Then after selection in bulk, add the Registration fee by clicking on the button present in the upper right corner as shown in the image.



Step 23

To add the fee for all the categories in one go, Select all the categories for which the registration fee will be the same from the dropdown and enter the amount in the registration field. And click on the apply button.



Step 24

After applying the registration fee for the programmes, Again go to Admission settings and in admission settings go to Admission Date Settings.



Step 25

In Admission date Settings, after selecting programmes in bulk, assign a start date and end date by clicking on Modify Admission dates for Programme.



Step 26

After configuration of date and time range for admissions Click on Save button to save it.



Step 27

After doing all these settings, put the cursor on the profile icon which is on the top right corner of the window and by clicking on Logout, the user will be logged out from Samarth.


All the Settings have been done for admission to be live.
